Tips before you go to WIE Summit in Milan

Dear participant,

We’re thrilled to have you joining us for the Women in Exhibitions World Summit in Milan on November 18-19! To help you make the most of this experience, I’ve included some practical tips and key details about your travel, the event, and Milan.

Event Address and Details

  • Location Event: Chiostri di San Barnaba, guests entering from the park side follow Via Francesco Daverio nr 7 Milan.
  • Timings Summit :
    • November 18-19, starting at 10:45 AM until 17:30 PM
  • Networking Dinner 18th November: at the same venue as the summit only through a different entrance following via San Barnaba 48 , Milan, Italy 20122
    • Between 5:30 PM and 7:00 PM, you’ll have some free time to freshen up, and prepare for the evening dinner.
    • Details: This dinner will start at 7:00 PM and will offer a chance to taste high-quality Italian olive oils offered by the Italian Women in Olive Oil organization alongside a curated meal, likely featuring Italian cuisine.
    • Expect a casual and interactive setting where you’ll network over food in an historical location. This is a relaxed environment to connect with colleagues and enjoy the evening together.
  • Dress Code for the summit: Business casual attire is recommended. Given the professional networking opportunities, attire that combines comfort with professionalism is ideal. Evening events, like the olive oil tasting and networking dinner, may call for a slightly elevated but still comfortable outfit.
  • Local Time and Language: Milan is in Central European Time (CET). While many locals speak English, knowing a few Italian phrases for greetings or thanks can be a nice touch.

Weather in Milan (18-19 November)

  • Expected Temperature: Mid-November in Milan generally sees mild but chilly weather, around 10-15°C (50-59°F) during the day, and cooler at night (about 5-10°C or 41-50°F).
  • Forecast: Light rain is common in autumn, so it’s wise to bring a small umbrella and a warm, waterproof coat.
